Initial training for asbestos workers:
Any person who, within a work area, removes, encapsulates or disturbs friable asbestos, or who handles asbestos material in any manner which may result in the release of asbestos fiber, shall possess a valid asbestos handler certificate and shall have such certificate or a copy thereof in his/her possession at all times while working on the project.
This 4-day course is designed to provide each student hands-on opportunities to perform all aspects of asbestos work properly by using engineering controls, decontamination procedures and work practices.

Mold Abatement Worker is a 2-day course and is required for workers that perform any type of mold abatement work in any capacity and are employed by a licensed mold remediation contractor. New York State regulations require individuals performing mold abatement to be trained as a Mold Abatement worker by an accredited training program. Upon successful completion of the course, student will have to submit an application to New York State department of labor licensing unit to obtain a license.

Purpose:
Mold Remediation Contractor course is a 3 day course that is requried for contractors who perform mold remediation work. New York State regulations require contractors who operate a company that performs mold remediation services or write/approve mold remediation work plans to have a mold remediation contractor license from an accredited training program. Upon successful completion of the course, student will have to submit application to New York State Department of Labor Licensing unit to obtain a license.

HAZardous Waste & OPERations Initial Training
HAZWOPER 40-hour is required for workers that perform activities that expose or potentially expose them to hazardous substances. This course is specifically designed for workers who are involved in clean-up operations, voluntary clean-up operations, emergency response operations, and storage, disposal, or treatment of hazardous substances or uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. Topics include protection against hazardous chemicals, elimination of hazardous chemicals, safety of workers and the environment and OSHA regulations. This course covers topics included in 29 CFR 1910.120.
Lead Certified Renovator Initial
Course teaches safe work practices to renovators, remodelers, painters, carpenters and those who regularly disturb lead-based paint. Course covers topics on containment, minimization and cleanup of lead hazards. Upon successful completion of the course, students are issued a certificate of course completion.
Lead Certified Renovator Refresher
Refresher course for Renovators is required every 5 years. Refresher course must be completed prior to expiration date.
Contractors who perform renovation, repairs, and painting must train and re-certify in lead-safe work practices before renovating older housing.
In order to ensure chemical safety in the workplace, information about the identities and hazards of the chemicals must be available and understandable to workers. OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) requires the development and dissemination of such information:
Chemical manufacturers and importers are required to evaluate the hazards of the chemicals they produce or import, and prepare labels and safety data sheets to convey the hazard information to their downstream customers;
